Many think we are like the large multinationals behind apps such as Grindr or Scruff, but that’s not the case. We are a small company with limited financial and human resources. While we are proud to see how the app is growing and gaining popularity worldwide, we’ve even become important enough to be the target of hacking attempts. This rapid growth has brought with it enormous economic and technical challenges. Every day, we strive to keep everything running as smoothly as possible, but in the past few weeks, we have faced many unexpected technical issues.
Unlike our competitors, who don’t always respect their free users, we work hard to offer a complete experience even to those who don’t pay. Although our app has a Premium option, which we would obviously love for all users to sign up for, free users will always receive quality service, with access to essential features and ads that are effective but respectful. None of those full-screen ads that seem designed to interrupt every click and remind free users that they’re not paying.
We want to offer a special apology to our Premium users, who trust us and give us their constant support. Your contribution is essential in helping us tackle the economic challenges that come with the growth of the platform. Your support allows us to keep improving, and we sincerely thank you for it.
In recent weeks, we have made significant structural changes to the app that should improve its performance and better protect the platform against possible attacks. We are confident that the worst is behind us, and that the experience will only get better.
